Sattva as known to the world by Wikipedia ( err... truly speaking its through the Vedic sciences) means   pure, existential or natural. It is one of the three guna ( Sattva, Tama, Raja) which determines a man's personality, his state of mind and his overall well being. Sattva has many closely used terms which are used by many people to suit their context, keeping the  same essence . Sattvika is used to denote pure form of life whether a man or animal or a plant.
